Engin Dikmen and Ilhami Tas, representing BEEM, the Portuguese partner of the project, have begun their research and knowledge exchange activities at the ITCL Technology Centre in Burgos, Spain.
Recognised as one of Europe’s leading applied research and technology development centres, ITCL has been developing innovative solutions in artificial intelligence, big data, robotics, energy efficiency, and smart industrial technologies since 1989. With its extensive experience in international research projects and industry-oriented technological innovation, ITCL plays an important role in transforming scientific knowledge into practical, real-world solutions.
Hosted by Maite Cobo and David de Miguel from the ITCL team, the activities aim to facilitate the exchange of technical expertise, foster joint research initiatives, and explore innovative approaches among the project partners.
The AI4SUSTAIN project aims to identify emerging skills needs arising from Europe’s green and digital transitions through artificial intelligence technologies, anticipate future workforce requirements, and develop sustainable solutions for skills development.
In this context, the collaboration between BEEM and ITCL will promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise in artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital technologies, and innovative research methodologies. It will also create valuable opportunities to translate research outcomes into practical technological solutions and strengthen cooperation between academia and industry.
